Magic Pill

This email can also be found here.

You're going to receive a couple different emails from me today since there are so many new people.

So many...

Anyways, I wanted to start off with this message because it's important.

Having no core, no personality, and no ability to think for oneself will never lead to success.

I want you to keep this quote in mind at all times. It's an important quote and you'll understand why in a bit.

The truth of the matter is you joined BBC because you're hoping for a solution.

THE ONE TRUE SOLUTION TO BLOGGING.

In a way, you're hoping that BBC is the silver bullet to your success.

That's a dangerous line of thinking.

It's the reason why you collect so many blog courses and books.

You can't stop buying them because you get a HIGH off of the idea of what these resources can do for you.

When they don't do the work for you and you're still in the same position you get frustrated and go looking for the next high.

Some of you know what happens next.

After the high of purchasing is gone, nothing else happens.

This leads to an endless cycle of spending money and frustration as you continue to chase the next high.

It's okay. You haven't had anybody tell you to stop or that something is wrong but I'm telling you now.

Stop doing that.

If I were to tell you that the Billionaire Blog Club has absolutely everything that you need to succeed and you'll never need to look elsewhere would you believe me?

You should because that's exactly what I'm telling you.

I don't keep any secrets to myself.

You have courses, books, challenges and the world's best blogging community at your fingertips.

PLUS, more is being added.

The food is being delivered but it's up to you to eat.

Seriously, there isn't anything else that you need and if you feel you do need it, then let me know and I'll make it happen.

The problem many people face is that they fail to step back and take a look at the big picture to see if they really are applying the principles that I've laid out.

I don't tell you about the ONE TRUE WAY OF BLOGGING.

What I do is lay out a framework that is based upon a super simple formula of success:

Write content that people want to read + Promote that content to the people that want to read it.

That's it.

What happens though is people fail at one or both parts of the equation and they wonder what is wrong. They don't think it can be their content or how they are promoting their content so they go looking for more solutions elsewhere.

Hm, this blogger says I should be doing this so I'm going to go and do that.

Hm, that didn't work so let me read what someone else has to say...

There is nothing wrong with taking the knowledge of others and adding it to your workflow.

The problem is jumping from "solution" to "solution" hoping one randomly works.

Many times I'll say that you should experiment and see what happens.

A lot of you don't want to hear that. You want to hear the exact steps required and for some things that is possible and other things you just have to think for yourself

Having no core, no personality, and no ability to think for oneself will never lead to success.

The successful bloggers are able to distill the knowledge presented to them by other bloggers and then apply it to their own work. The basic formula is always the same but the application might be different.

You must use both sides of your brain. It’s not all numbers. It’s not all creativity. It’s a blend of both worlds.

You're going to ask me how many pins a day you should be pinning and I'll tell you that it varies across my accounts.

You're going to ask me how many times a week you should publish a post and I'm going to tell you that you should just write and get things out there.

Some parts of this blogging thing have no exact formula to them or based around numbers so I'm not going to pretend they do.

Write content that people want to read + Promote that content to the people that want to read it.

Let me say this again.

I am giving you absolutely everything that you need to succeed with your blog journey.

Everything.

Some of it does require you to fill in the blanks and that's how learning should be. I'll make sure the obvious things are shown to you so you don't fall too much, but you will fall at some point.

Nobody is going to be able to prevent that.

You just get back up, lean on the Community and keep pushing forward.

Everything (and I know it's a lot) that I show you within the Billionaire Blog Club, I apply to my own sites. It works over and over and over and over again.

Today is the day you stop chasing that magic pill.

Today is the day you shoulder the responsibility for your success because it's not on me.

I'm just your companion on this journey.

I'm here to help every step of the way. Some of the help will be nice and some of it will be stuff you don't want to hear.

But it will be help.

Hi Scrivs,

I've been waiting for this day so I could email you. I hit the $1,000 mark through MediaVine ads.

I've experienced some tremendous growth since I've started implementing what you teach. I launched October 1, 2017. By end of year, I was only getting 1,000 pageviews a month.

I enrolled in BBC in December, went through the content, and revamped everything on my blog so I could start the new year with a bang. January was a great month for me with about 50,000 sessions. February was an even greater month:

  • Got into MediaVine after about the first week of Feb
  • Hit my first 10k session in a single day
  • One of my pins has over 18k repins
  • Currently at a little over 190,000 pageviews for this month
  • Got officially accepted into Amazon instead of kicked out again, lol

I'm slowly getting a hang of things, though there is LOTS for me to still learn. But, I will say that I am in a much better place financially (finally breaking even) and, more importantly, emotionally (definitely not as frustrated and overwhelmed as before).

I just wanted to say thank you for offering all your knowledge and help. You've given me:

  • the more structured plan I needed to get things going at the beginning
  • more confidence in what I'm doing so I can begin to test things on my own
  • more hope that I might actually get somewhere with this blogging thing
  • more enjoyment for blogging because I've now found ways to incorporate more of my personality into my writing

I know I'm a little fish in the sea and that there are tons more stuff I need to do to grow, but the progress I've made thus far is something that I am happy to have reached and know came because of you and BBC, so I wanted to take the time to say thank you.

I could share these stories all damn day.

I'm not bragging.

Okay...maybe a little...

...but I'm showing you this because I want you to know that nobody in the Billionaire Blog Club is smarter than you.

Nobody is luckier than you.

Some do what needs to be done and some don't.

Simple as that.

Myself and 100s of other bloggers are here to help you along your journey but we can't make you accept that help.

I can't make you think for yourself and see what needs to be seen.

Unfortunately, the price of admission to the Billionaire Blog Club doesn't cover that.
